Since the Edo period, the city of Ashikaga, home to the Orihime Shrine, has been known for silk, silk dyeing, and Meisen kimono. By restoring the age-old dyeing methods of the Edo period and employing artisan techniques unachievable in modern mass production, this unique fabric is crafted with a dedication to the vibrant expressions and textures of natural materials.
